Welcome to Shelter from the Storm, a peaceful 3-bedroom, 2-bath canal front retreat on Florida’s enchanting Nature Coast. Just one turn off the world-famous Weeki Wachee River, this home is designed for relaxation, adventure, and reconnecting with what matters most.

Whether you’re sipping coffee as manatees drift past, paddling out to explore turquoise springs, or watching the sunset from the dock, Shelter from the Storm is your invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and let the river wash your worries away.

• Spectacular Upriver location: A short paddle away from the crystal clear water of the Weeki Wachee river!
• Kayaking paradise: We provide 4 kayaks (2 are Tandems) and 2 Paddleboards for you to embark on unforgettable adventures. Discover the magic of kayaking up the Weeki Wachee river or venture out to the open Gulf waters.
• Hospital Hole: Just a short paddle down river, you'll find the famous Hospital Hole. This unique spot is a natural spring known for its crystal-clear waters and an abundance of underwater wildlife. Snorkelers and divers will be enchanted by the experience of exploring this hidden gem.
• Ample sleeping space: Our home comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests, ensuring everyone has a cozy place to rest after a day of adventure.
• Outdoor entertainment: Grab a cold drink and relax on the outdoor patio after a memorable day of adventure!

This home can comfortably sleep 8 people with the following accommodations:

Master Bedroom- King Size.

Guest Bedroom 1 - Queen Size.

Guest Bedroom 2 - Queen Size.

4 Smart TVs! Including one in each bedroom! Log-in to your favorite streaming Apps. 

Dog friendly (max 2). Sorry no cats allowed.

Tell Me About the Outside:

You are welcome to use the paddle boards, kayaks, and floating mat for no additional charge and at your own risk. Life jackets and paddles are also available. 

Parts of the river and the gulf can get very shallow, especially during low tides. If you are thinking about bringing your own craft we are happy to speak with you about tips and tricks we’ve learned.

There are many things available close by like fishing, boating, sailing, sightseeing, antiquing, golfing, flea market hunting, horseback riding, nature hiking, kayaking, water skiing, swimming, shelling, gambling on the Sun Cruise Casino Boat and more.

Roger’s Park, Marina & Boat Rentals, Kayak Shack, Linda Pedersen Park, Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, Pine Island Beach Park, Sun West Park, Thunder Party Boat for fishing, Fishdaddy Charters, Heather Golf Club, Oak Hills Golf Club. We can’t forget about the largest local attraction- Buccaneer Bay with the world famous live mermaid shows and water park.
